Path into travel
David began his career in travel by founding a tour company in New York City. He built an industry connection with Travel Unity founder Roni Weiss through the New York Travel Festival, joined Travel Unity’s Board of Directors in June 2023, and later became Chair.
Current work
As Board Chair, David works with staff and fellow board members on strategy, financial planning, fundraising, marketing and membership. He also advises on stakeholder engagement and Travel Unity’s certification programs, and supports work that connects students and emerging professionals with careers in travel.
He is also a Senior Associate Principal at Coraggio Group.

Tourism that works for host communities
David’s view is that tourism should work for the communities that host visitors as well as for the visitors themselves. He treats inclusion as part of responsible, sustainable tourism rather than a separate add-on.
