What is the Media Network?
The Travel Unity Media Network brings together current and former journalists, writers, editors, creators, photographers, podcasters, and other media professionals who want travel storytelling to better reflect the people and communities who make up our world.
Individual Media Network membership is free. Media outlets may participate through an approved outlet partnership with Travel Unity.
- Invitations to member-only events and resources. Networking events and resources open only to Media Network members.
- Promotion to Travel Unity’s audience. We feature members across our social media channels and in member spotlights.
- Opportunities to speak at Travel Unity events.
- Industry opportunities as they come up. In spring 2026 we shared complimentary passes to the Women in Travel Summit with the network.
- A route into our mentorship program, as a mentor or a mentee.
Who Can Join?
Individual Media Members
Current and former journalists, writers, editors, creators, photographers, podcasters, and other professionals with a meaningful connection to media and storytelling may apply for free individual membership.
Media Outlet Partners
Media outlets and publications may participate through a separate partnership relationship with Travel Unity. Outlet participation is reviewed individually and is not included automatically through free individual Media Network membership.

Q: Who is eligible to join the Travel Unity Media Network?
A: The Travel Unity Media Network is open to all active or former members of the media who tell stories with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in mind.
Q: Is there a cost to join the network?
A: No, there is no cost to be part of the network. We do welcome members to also join as individual or corporate members of the Travel Unity Alliance, which provides other benefits.
Q: What are the benefits of joining the Travel Unity Media Network?
A: Members of the Travel Unity Media Network will get exclusive invitations to member-only resources and networking events, promotion via Travel Unity’s social media channels, and opportunities to speak at Travel Unity events.
